About the Role
We are seeking part-time IT technicians to join our company. The technician would provide support under the direction of senior team members locally or remote support professionals for onsite support, installation services, and other IT related tasks. As an IT technician, you can put your passion for IT to work by supporting our many clients.
The technician should be familiar with overall IT principles and standards. The technician should be able to communicate effectively and test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue. The technician should possess the ability to follow verbal directions and perform hardware troubleshooting and testing for various types of IT equipment as well as software troubleshooting and testing for various operating systems and applications.
Requirements
We are seeking part-time IT technicians to join our company with the following qualifications:
Minimum of one to two years of experience in computer networks solutions, operating systems, or other IT-related positions
Have the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and network testing equipment
Understanding of which tools are needed to complete jobs
Familiarity with command-line and terminal access preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Time management and organizational skills
CompTIA A+ certification preferred
CompTIA Network+ certification preferred
Have basic understanding of IT principles, standards, and practices
Have the ability to work with their hands and lift more than 15lbs
Have the ability to transport and secure tools needed to complete jobs
Can pass a background check and drug screening
Have reliable transportation to and from job sites as this position supports multiple sites. Travel between locations will be required. Applicants must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and evidence of insurance.
